Asaf Mayrose

I have been working in the fields of Ornithology and practical Ecology for the past 30 years. I began exploring nature and birdwatching at an early age, with soaring bird migration surveys and bird ringing. For the last 10 years I have been working as a freelance ecologist mainly on issues of endangered species conservation and management. In my PhD research at the University of Haifa in cooperation with the Israeli Nature and Parks Authority (INPA), I am leading the research and management of several bird populations, including Bonelli’s Eagle, Golden eagle, Lanner falcon, Barbary falcon and the Houbara Bustard.
