I am a bird ringer since 2004 and director of the Israeli Bird Ringing Center since 2015. I am interested mainly in the ecology and evolution of moult strategies in passerines. My interest in feathers and moult developed through my work as a bird ringer. I completed my M.Sc. on the effect of moult on flight performance in passerines in the Hebrew University of Jerusalem under the supervision of Prof. Ran Nathan. Since 2017 I am a Ph.D. student in the Animal Flight Group.
